Associate Attorney Taiki Hayakawa concentrates his Honolulu based legal practice on the resolution of business, commercial, construction, real property, insurance coverage, and insurance bad faith disputes, as well as other select civil litigation and criminal defense matters. Mr. Hayakawa also provides legal assistance and guidance to business owners seeking to establish or continue their presence in Hawai‘i. He is fluent in both spoken and written Japanese.
Mr. Hayakawa is a graduate of the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa, cum laude, and received his law degree from the University of Hawaii, William S. Richardson School of Law. During law school, Taiki was a summer extern in Japan at the Law Offices of Toda & Co., an extern to the Honorable Virginia Lea Crandall, First Circuit Court of the State of Hawai‘i, and a law clerk and summer associate at Deeley King Pang & Van Etten, LLP. Mr. Hayakawa also served as a Tech Editor and Staff Writer for the University of Hawai‘i Law Review, and was awarded the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for the highest grade in Legal Practice I.
Mr. Hayakawa is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before all Hawaii circuit and appellate courts and the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii.
